Terms of Engagement
These terms are being finalised with our legal advisors. The headings below outline the shape of the final document; the binding version will be published before public launch.
Who these terms are for
These terms govern the relationship between Black Ivy and anyone who corresponds with us — whether as a member, a candidate for membership, or an assistant acting on behalf of a principal.
Introduction only
Black Ivy is a house of private introduction. Membership is offered at our discretion and may be declined or withdrawn without reason. Nothing on this site constitutes a public offer.
Arrangements
Each arrangement is quoted and confirmed in writing. The written confirmation — and its attachments — form the binding record of what was agreed. Deposits, balance terms and cancellation policies are set out there.
Third parties
We partner with hotels, charters and guides of our choosing. Where a third party delivers part of an arrangement, their own terms apply alongside ours; we will identify them in the written confirmation and share their conditions on request.
Responsibility
We take full responsibility for the care we promise and for the introductions we make. We are not liable for force majeure, for acts of the third parties we rely on where we have exercised due diligence, nor for losses outside the scope of the written arrangement.
The Atelier Programme
Atelier credits are a goodwill token extended to assistants and family offices. They hold no cash value, are non-transferable, and are redeemed against the curated catalogue held in the member's private card.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, with exclusive jurisdiction reserved to the Dubai courts — subject to any statutory rights held by consumers resident elsewhere.
